Our stay at Villa Sagitta was absolutely incredible. The jungle views were breathtaking and made the whole experience feel truly special. The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean, with real attention to detail. Everything felt comfortable and looked after, which made it easy for us to just switch off and relax after a long journey. The food was excellent, every meal was delicious and prepared perfectly by the staff. All the staff were so welcoming and attentive the whole time. A special mention has to go to Yande, who was amazing. He went out of his way to help us arrange trips and activities, and his kindness and genuine care really stood out. He certainly made our stay even more memorable.We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend Villa Sagitta to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and peaceful retreat.

We had such an amazing stay! The villa is absolutely stunning ,a truly dreamy place surrounded by the beautiful Ubud jungle. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, and even better than the photos.A special thank you to Yande and Agust, who were both fantastic throughout our stay. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always there to assist us with every request we had. Their hospitality really made our stay even more special.We also really enjoyed the beautiful trail through the jungle that leads to the waterfall that Agust took us and guides us on the way, such a unique experience and definitely one of the highlights of our stay.We would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Ubud. Prachtige locatie en vooral top staff ! Yande en zijn team hebben ons ontzettend in de watten gelegd van 's morgens tot 's avonds. Zeer lekker eten, heel goede tips voor uitstapjes en ze stonden altijd klaar voor ons. Het huis ligt afgelegen dus je bent afhankelijk van vervoer, maar dat was steeds goed geregeld. Je ziet hier en daar wat kleine slijtage in het huis. Zoals een WC pot die wat los staat. Maar al bij al zeer goed onderhouden. Wel een belangrijke opmerking is dat het huis minder geschikt is voor echt jonge kinderen omdat er heel veel gevaarlijke hoekjes en kantjes zijn op en rond het zeer steile terrein. Dus je moet wel heel de dag extra goed je kinderen in het oog houden dat ze nergens opklauteren of af kunnen vallen. Ook de leuningen van de terrassen langs de diepe ravijnen rond de woning zijn niet conform de Europese normen die we gewoon zijn dus een ongeluk is snel gebeurd. De kinderen van 6 jaar en ouder van ons gezelschap konden hier wel goed mee om.

This place is magical. Better than the pictures. The service staff were incredible. This is the only place to stay when in Ubud. It was close to everything and was a peaceful retreat after seeing the sights. Everything was taken care of by Yande and his staff. Fresh cooked breakfast and dinner. Fantastic drinks. Outstanding massages on property.I’ve rented high-end properties all over the world and this place is at another level. More than enough space for multiple families to unwind and then come together at the pool for dinner. Showers under the stars and waking up to the forest.My only regret is that we only stayed for two nights. My family and I will be back and this time for much longer. We had parents in their 80s and young children. Something for everyone.

Villa Sagitta is a wonderful villa just outside the busy area of Ubud. The views are magical, the pool splendid and this all made for a fantastic stay for our party of 10 people. All rooms have a bathroom and this creates an atmosphere of a small, exclusive private resort around the private pool. The outside terrace at the pool is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Now for the staff. Yande and his team Agus, Katon, Rai, Komang and Pica as the gardener go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are very friendly and always available to assist with everything you need to know or do. But the best part is their ability to create a restaurant atmosphere inside the villa! From cocktails to milkshakes to fruit-shakes or cold Bintangs or wines. Everything is available. But the best part is the freshly made Balinese food! Very tasteful! And the last evening the Balinese Feast was amazing! The best holiday experience ever. We hope to return one day.

Incredible! If you are sitting on the fence or have a bunch of villas and cannot decide - just book it! The villa is more beautiful than the photos and is in a quiet and peaceful location. It is Yande and his team that make this property stand out - from the service to the food! Omg the food is amazing. You must try the Balinese porridge for breakfast!

I can't tell you in words what we experienced. Instead I am going to try and transport you into our experience based on our sensory experiences.Entering the villa the air smelled of incense and warm coconut milk that immediately calmed us. We were welcomed by panoramic views of the jungle. The air felt balmy and created a sense of safety. There was a low hum of distant chanting coming from a nearby temple and the lullaby of croaks and ribbits.We were most thankful for an unforgettable experience to Yande, Agus, Komang, Katon and Rai and for all they did to turn everyday into an adventure and sensory experience for us through organizing our transport and helping us to plan every trip. Not to mention the delicious meals they cooked for us when we were not in the mood to go and eat out.We were sad to leave Yande and his wonderful team!

Where is Villa Sagitta, and how far is it from Ubud?
Villa Sagitta sits in a UNESCO World Heritage site above a river gorge in Pejeng, about 7 km from central Ubud — a 15 to 20-minute drive through pretty scenery. It is close enough for dinner in town and far enough that the nights are genuinely quiet.
Is the villa exclusive-use?
Yes — Villa Sagitta operates on an exclusive-use basis, meaning the property is booked solely for you and your group, with no other guests present during your stay.
How many people can Villa Sagitta accommodate?
Up to twelve guests in six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and a king-size bed; three of the beds can be separated into three-quarter beds. The nightly rate covers six guests, with a per-person supplement from the seventh onwards — see the rates table above. It is our largest villa and a natural choice for extended families or two families travelling together.
What does the rate include?
The nightly rate at Villa Sagitta includes daily breakfast, your villa staff, daily housekeeping, tea and coffee, bottled water, and WiFi throughout the property. À la carte lunch, dinner, and snacks are available to order at reasonable prices throughout your stay. Prices exclude 11% government tax and 5% service charge.
Is there a minimum stay, and when are check-in and check-out?
Minimum stay is two nights. Check-in at Villa Sagitta is from 2pm and check-out by 10am. Earlier arrivals and later departures can often be arranged subject to availability — see our Guest Info page for the full policy.
How do we get to Villa Sagitta from the airport?
From Ngurah Rai International Airport, expect a journey of around an hour and a half to reach Villa Sagitta in Pejeng, traffic-dependent. We arrange airport transfers for all guests, and stays of three nights or more come with one complimentary pickup or drop-off. Staying six nights or more across Villa Sagitta, and one of our other villas, also qualifies you for a complimentary transfer between them.
Is Villa Sagitta staffed?
Yes — Villa Sagitta has a team of 6 staff working in shifts to take care of your stay from start to finish. This includes daily housekeeping, meal preparation and cooking, and arranging concierge services such as in-house spa treatments, massages, and yoga — held on our dedicated yoga deck — along with day trips using our drivers. We also offer a nightly turn-down service, and staff can arrange babysitting on request. Our team is there to help whenever needed, and knows when to step back and let you relax.
Is Villa Sagitta suitable for families with children?
Yes. Families are very welcome — complimentary travel cots and high chairs are available, a babysitter can be arranged, and a pool fence can be organised at a reasonable cost. Please note the garden is steep in parts, so we recommend supervising very young children outdoors. That aside, the pool gives children room to play, and the six bedrooms mean everyone gets their own.
Do we need to bring our own food to Villa Sagitta, or is there a kitchen we can use?
Villa Sagitta isn’t self-catering, so guests aren’t able to cook in the villa kitchen, and bringing outside food isn’t part of how we operate — the same as you’d expect at a hotel. Instead, your dedicated villa staff prepare meals from a reasonably priced à la carte menu spanning Indonesian and Western dishes, alongside your daily breakfast which is included. Everyone can order their own dish. Eating at the villa is never compulsory — there are excellent restaurants in the surrounding area too. Drinks are self-serve from the villa’s fridges, tracked by staff and added to your bill, with a full cocktail menu available as well.
Can we request meals for dietary restrictions or allergies at Villa Sagitta?
Yes — our staff are experienced in catering for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free diets, along with more serious food allergies. We just ask that you let us know your requirements when you arrive, or in advance if you’d like extra peace of mind, so we can prepare your meals safely.
What is there to do at Villa Sagitta?
Just beyond the villa’s own grounds, there’s a beautiful waterfall directly below the property and an ancient village temple just a few hundred metres away, where our villa manager can arrange a traditional cleansing ceremony at the temple’s holy waters. Closer to home, there’s plenty to enjoy without leaving the villa too — an infinity pool, board games, and a Smart TV, along with a dedicated wooden yoga deck overlooking the gorge, big enough for up to 12 people and an instructor. In-house spa treatments and massages are also available whenever you’d like to relax.
What can we see and do near Villa Sagitta?
You’re surrounded by some of Bali’s most important ancient sites — the Goa Garba meditation cave just 3 minutes away, the Moon of Pejeng bronze drum at 7 minutes, and Goa Gajah’s Elephant Cave at 10 minutes, with Gunung Kawi and Tirta Empul temple both within 20–25 minutes. Central Ubud is 15–20 minutes away, and a padel court is a five-minute walk along the main road. Is Villa Sagitta a good choice for a yoga or wellness stay?
Very much so. The villa has a covered outdoor yoga deck with a wooden floor looking over the forested river gorge, and in-villa massages, spa treatments and private yoga sessions can be arranged with the team. The Yoga Barn in central Ubud is about 20 minutes away.
